Incompetency and No Credentials. Is This Our Plainview?

Anonymous has left a new comment on your post "Mr. Dempsey-Haphazard Education Has Got to Go":

The discrepancy with just about everything at Stratford Road comes down to the ineffective principal. Do others see how incompetent she is? That's the root of the problem. As far as the ELA director, he's a high school English teacher. He has neither certifications in reading nor elementary education. It's unbelievable that a school district like Plainview would allow these so called "professionals" to maintain leadership positions in the district.

  1. The problem in the Plainview schools (as in many school districts across America) is often with the administrators, not the teachers, not the students, not the parents, not the board. The principals and upper level administrators are the root of the problem most often because they fail to effectively address parental concerns, are afraid of grievances and quite honestly don't spend enough time in the classrooms so they're really not aware of what truly goes on. For whatever residents are going through, know this. The administrators will often make it seem like you are the only one with a particular concern, that it's more about you or your child than about the school. It's not. You are not alone. Our complaints my stem from different individual experiences, perhaps a variety of areas within the district but one fact remains constant, for what we're paying in taxes, our children should be getting so much more.
