I have read on this blog that the teachers and the BOE have started their SECRET negotiations for the next contract.
How about the district offers the Union what they really deserve instead of what they want?
0% first year
0% second year
0% third year
Even with these 0% increases the overall salaries of the teachers will still increase by about 3%.
It’s amazing that 0+0+0= more than 3%.
BOE it’s time to try to keep us from going deeper and deeper into our pockets!
Do something about it NOW!

ReplyDeleteHow is it that the BOE's own attorney stated the amount of money the POB district would be in a hole for. 5-7Million dollars with the current raises with the loss of federal and state aid that would be either reduced or eliminated. Still the BOE caved in to the Plainview Congress Of Teachers. If this were corporate America ,the board would of been fired. Not only do we need 0+0+0 in the next contract , we need more from the teachers.And when the next election comes we need the members up for election VOTED OUT.The BOE is clueless when it comes to the finances . All across the island theire were layoffs, wage freezes , concessions etc. Not in Plainview. ??
Get rid of tenure and step increases. That is what needs to go that costs us the most with no benefit to anybody but the PCT
