Dear BOE. Please Check What's Going On.....

Anonymous has left a new comment on your post "Nassau County Pesticide Spraying Schedule": Please post separately Has anyone else noticed that there are certain principals who are always behind closed doors? They are also the same principals who are going for advanced degrees. A lot of school work can be done online. Someone should be checking what they are doing. Also why is it OK that some principals and assistant principals are no shows at school events? Again, someone should be checking what is going on. This should not be tolerated.

    If this is the case, then specific people should be reported to the BOE.

    It is inappropriate to post comments that are possibly slanderous about an specific person (or specific people) in a public forum. If you are concerned about a principal's conduct, you should have the integrity to speak privately with the principal directly or with the principal's supervisor.

    Principals work for us and should not be hiding. They should have the integrity to "act like a principal" and be visible in the morning at drop off (some of our principals do this), visible at dismissal and visible during the day in the hallway. Talk about being ethical.... All we're saying is let's monitor them. Who will actually do that??

    Not sure who you are referring to but that sounds like the type of concern that is bettered served being directed at the school, and the Board of Ed directly. The next Board of Ed meeting will be held on October 31st. You should attend and share your concerns at the meeting. Also you appear to be making many assumptions as to what the principal is doing 'behind closed doors'.
