  1. The Wang property if designed with more housing, will only increase traffic on Old Country Road, between the Post office and Route 135. As it is the two turn lanes (going north and south) are usually backed up anytime after 4pm til after 6pm. Headed west on a 4:30 afternoon from the library, I have waited two lights worth before crossing Central park rd, and sometimes two lights more before being able to line up to make the left turn to head south on 135. An increase in population, will mean an increase in cars no matter how you cut it. The route to 135 is already overcrowded. Til now I have heard no plans to accommodate for this and easy the traffic congestion.

  3. Traffic is a fair concern, but office buildings (not residential and retail) would significantly increase traffic between 4 and 6pm. Retail and residential might produce more overall traffic, but spread over the day and weekend, not concentrated during rush hour.

  4. The choke point is rte 135 and Old Country Rd. A stipulation to any planned growth is to have the Old Country Rd overpass at rte 135 widened so there are dedicated turning lanes onto rte 135.
