  1. Wellness ,what a joke . It is mostly up to the parents to teach their kids how to eat right , not the school's. If the school really wanted to do something ,how about sports teams for kids that are not "jocks" most kids love sports and would play , but once again it is only the few that are picked for a team and it not just because they are good . Politics as usual. I have children in some sports but I see far too many children in the school that would probably make a "B" team and also learn about the sport itself. That would be a true wellness policy. I was at one of the graduation cermonies last year and what were they serving at the end? potato chips?? and I think I saw some donuts as well. Where were the fruits or more nutritous foods?

  2. I was appalled at the behavior of the some of the parents in attendance at last night's Board of Ed meeting. There was a group that sat in the back chatting away, making rude and offensive comments about some of the people who spoke up at the Public Participation. They were asked to stop the chatting and go outside if they needed to talk but it kept going.

  3. It is very disturbing that a parent brought up mthe issue of teacher -student bullying and the board answered the questions in the same old politics as usual speech.

  4. Actually the Board has to follow the law. Legally they cannot comment on situations like this other than to report they have followed up on it.

  5. Yes the board does have to follow the law but everyone knows when they dance around questions without answering the question. this is why people have apathy for politicians and the political process
