Do your homework...

Anonymous has left a new comment on your post "Justified raises":

Jericho schools look good on paper. Do you realize that we have some of their spec-ed kids in our schools? They have less spec-ed classes because they send them to us. My daughter is in that class. Are you aware that our administrators have been given double digit pay raises. Ask Mr. Ruff if he received a 10% ($18,000) raise this year. Ask the Board if they okayed that and Mr. Dempsey's $60,000 raise as well. I have done my homework. It is amazing that my fellow neighbors know nothing about the administrators raises which the Board granted. Ask Mr Rosenfeld why the union turned down the 2% raise-Do you know of all the givebacks the teachers would have to hand back. Fellow POB citizens, ask questions-do not just listen-there is a lot more than we are being told. Do YOUR homework.

  1. The teachers are not being asked for any give backs. See the report the lawyer presented to the public. Not one give back, they should be asked for givebacks.
You are showing your crassness by using the term "sped". Your fellow neighbors would cringe at the use of that word.
You say "ask Mr. Rosenfeld", did he tell you that the teachers were asked for give backs? If he did and you know please make them public, like you make Mr. Ruff and Mr dempsey's raises public so we can "Do Our Homework"

  2. Do your homework yourself. Give the PCT a call and ask all the questions YOU want. I am a parent in this district and asked whatever I wanted to. Since you do not believe my information, you call directly. Then post the answers to YOUR questions! If you believe the teachers were not asked to provide givebacks, then you are very naive. Pick up YOUR phone.

  3. "sped"? I read that before the edit was made (and editor please note that the edit has NOT been made in the second sentence). It is difficult to take any message seriously that uses a term like this.

  4. The teachers were asked to give back-but the board has refused to come to the table to negotiate-call up and ask for yourselves-
