This is all a diversion that the BOE likes to play.It is the same as when the BOE gives out awards to students at the BOE meetings. Why don't they give the awards out at the schools . Maybe they could have an awards night in the school or give the awards out to students while they are still in school. I have been at BOE meetings where the awards were given out in September to children that already graduated and are not even present to accept the awards . The reason is just another diversion for the BOE to perform in their act. The act is getting real old too and it is time to change the cast of performers

There is an email going around town indicating that there will be an XR Meeting held May 11th at 7:00 Stratford Rd school auditorium to voice concerns regarding the change of the XR program both in kindergarten and 1st grade. How come I never received this? Is this a private affair or just another covert action on the part of our BOE?
ReplyDeleteWhat are the proposed changes to the XR program?
ReplyDeleteAt least they sometimes give awards in the LGI so there are enough seats for everyone, especially the grandparents and people who are handicapped. Too bad the parking is horrible at Mattlin, especially when board meetings are the same night as evening sports at the school.
ReplyDeleteKudos to Old Bethpage Elementary School for a fabulous and entertaining variety show tonight! Singing, dancing, karate, magic, hula hoops, piano, viola and guitar virtuoso performances, even an unicyclist!!!!! (I hope I didn't leave anything out) The kids were amazing and the PTA did a great job organizing this event! This was our second year attending and it just keeps getting better. Thanks for a great family night out!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the heads up. I'll be there.
