The Work is Not Over Yet

Our Work is not Complete!

Oh the PCT had their hand in this election and still have the majority when it comes to voting on their contract. We all know who voted for the contract and the PCT went balls to the wall to make sure their inside man Gary Bettan won, they also tried their best to take down Angel Cepeda but failed. There is still work to be done, Mrs. Bernstein and Mrs. Lieberman are up for reelection next May, we have to continue to hold the board accountable for voting against our wishes. We are One Boardmember away from ridding the PCT of their majority.

  1. The PCTs inside candidate was Stephanie Nelkins.

  2. You said the BOE voted against "our" wishes? How can this be true when a majority of people voted in favor of the budget?

  3. What the heck is an "inside" candidate? Whoever is writing this stupidity about Stephanie Nelkins should stop. She has done nothing but help the children of our district.

  4. You must be kidding, if the PCT's inside "man" was Stefanie, she would have gotten the most votes. As it was, she got less votes than Angel, who voted against the teacher's contract.

  5. Whoever thinks Stephanie was the inside candidate is foolong themselves, It was and still is Gary Bettan. If it wasn't for the teacher vote Craig Levy would be the third winner. The PCT tried like hell to get rid of Angel Cepeda but failed, Old Scratch Rosenfeld must've been bitching and moaning this morning. I agree with the original poster's comment about not being done.

Because the community knows that voting down the budget only hurts the children. Let's be real here, if it wasn't for teachers and clericals Bettan would've only received votes from his soccer pals. The PCT took care of the one who sold his soul so he could get reelected.

  7. Stephanie was the PCT's choice. Not the TEACHER's choice.

    PCT = Union leaders
Teachers = individuals who teach in our district

Believe it or not there is a very big difference. Even in our district.

  8. There is no difference. The PCT and the teachers are one in the same . They support Morty Rosenfeld because he gets them their selfish selserving raises on the backs of the residents . The teachers as a group are jsut as greedy and arrogant as Morty. Teachers do not care whether people are unemployed , struggling etc. As long as they are leaving school by 3:45
and egtting their huge salaries they will just ignore the plight of everyone else .

I can agree with you concerning Mrs. Nelkins, but that's where the agreement ends.

Gary Bettan was and is the PCT and the Teacher's choice. Face it why would the PCT and or the Teachers not want him in when he voted to give the teachers a raise. The PCT and the Teachers knew the next day who voted for and against the contract by name, did the community know, not until it was made public at the next board meeting. If you are a teacher or know one, you know exactly what I mean, Mr Rosenfeld has his moles on the board.

  10. Mrs. Nelkins never had a shot, her reputation proceeds her. There was no way Mr. Rosenfeld was pulling that rabbit out of his hat, no matter how hard he tried.

  11. Didn't Nelkins get trashed enough in secret these past few weeks? Move on. She had the guts to run which is more than you can say, assuming this post isn't from Levy. And, she's accomplished plenty. Most of which shouldn't have ever had to be done if this was a real school district.

  12. This blog stopped trashing of little league coaches so why is it allowing trashing of Stephanie Nelkins? Actually I voted for her because of her reputation. Too bad more people in this community didn't.

  13. Stephanie Nelkins shows up to every board meeting. She stands up meeting after meeting to fight for equity in the schools. She doesn't hide behind a blog and bitch. She is not afraid to fight for what she believes and show her face and name. Where are you at the meetings? Have been to many meetings through the course of the year and very few people go. Stop trashing Stephanie. It is enough already. It is a shame good people have to be persecuted by cowards who hide beyond this blog.

  14. Ginger leiberman + Debbie Bernstein needs to be the next ones to go

  15. While others spoke about going through the budget line by line, Stephanie actually did - in the area of school books. She saw that only certain kids were getting workbooks and she spoke up about it. She saw that Old Beth was paying for Scholastic News and no one else was and she spoke up about that. This year she found an error that NO ONE on the board or administration picked up on - that science workbooks that only Parkway school buys their 4th graders had the wrong price - too low - and they had to amend the budget to add more money in for them. No one on the board cares about parity in education. If they did they wouldn't allow what goes on to go on.

  16. Enough about trashing Stephanie Nelkins . At least she had the nerve enough to step up to the plate and try to do something . How many people on this blog have actually gone to a few meetings and stood up at the mike to voice their complaints? I know when the teacher contract was the topic at the BOE meeting I was there and there were very few people beside myself up at the mike while there were alot of people on this site bitching about the contract. Looking at the amount of people we have in this community and the amount of people that went out to vote , it is once again disappointing that more people will get on this blog to complain and not go out to vote . We only have ourselves to blame

  17. Ginger and Debbie will never vote against teacher raises. Evy either. Even when the cost of living isn't going up they will vote to pay the teachers more and more for doing less and less. Good luck to us everg getting rid of these PCT darlings.
