Where Were the Principals?

Anonymous has left a new comment on your post "The Voice of Plainview":

How come there were no principals at the BOE meeting Monday night? There were parents and teachers and a lot of discussion about the changes to the XR program which are very unpopular and had some parents crying. Does this mean the principals (a) support the changes to XR (b) don't care one way or another (c) have no interest to listen to what parents have to say since everyone knew a lot of parents were showing up to speak about their concerns with XR(d) don't support the teachers in their school who were obviously unhappy with the program changes and were supported by their teachers. Very dysfunctional.

  1. Its very interesting that the teachers are screaming about the XR program changes and actually make phone calls to alumni parents to rally support them in this effort. Funny: Are these the same teachers that were prancing around with the "Contract Now" buttons and the greedy teachers that did not care about the fiscal state of the community and those who are unemployed and now have to bear the burden of the tax increase due to their salary increases???? The teachers at the elementary schools who did not have parties for the children or put their work on bulletin boards? ??? Very Disturbing and Self Serving. The teachers are unhappy with the program changes, because it changes things and actually could take away texting time or down time.
How soon we forget the past behaviors of the teachers.

  3. I think the XR classes do a lot of good although every 1st grader would benefit from being in a class of 12 and there has always been some mystery as to how certain kids get chosen.

  4. There is mystery to how children are chosen for XR. Any parent with a child in the K-Center can find out how the recommendations are made.

  5. They don't have a contract that's why they weren't there
