The parents support the teachers?? How about the teachers support the community by not asking for outrageous demands. They are the educators so they should have a clue about how bad the economy. Demanding raises? how about demanding that every thing remain the same and being happy that they are not losing their jobs. Lets be real our teachers have it made. Tenure which should be eliminated, step raises which should be eliminated, pension contributions which should be reduced, and the list goes on and on.

Should the UPS employee be happy he has a job? What about the man at Burger King? I have spoken to teachers with spouses that have lost jobs too. The tecahers work hard with increased class sizes and more discipline problems than ever before! The school board should step up to the plate and take responsibility for what they were elected to do! They need to make sure the children of Plainview-Old Bethpage continue to get a good education. Let them stop hiring new administrators with ridiculous price tags and benefits and let our teachers continue to educate out children!
ReplyDeleteParents shouting derogatory remarks at teachers while the Kindergarten children were marching in their Halloween parade. How rude to the children in our community. Booing a teacher's class and making sarcastic remarks to teachers and administrators is a terrible example for the children. Why ruin their day? They had a great time at their celebrations with their friends and teachers. Yeah for the wellness committee.
