Teacher Says: There is Wisdom in Coming to an Agreement

Anonymous has left a new comment on your post "Respect Goes Both Ways":

Why should we who teach in this district and also live here feel shame? It appears that the people of plainview feel that we ARE living in a bubble. I say this because other districts, both less well off than us and more well off than us, have seen the wisdom in coming to an agreement. the recession effects teachers and non teachers alike. Let me also say this to the last part of your post, during the last bargaining cycle when the times were better not one parent stood up and said that because rimes are good we should pay teachers more, we only got around 2-2.5%

  1. OK TEACHERS! let me get this straight and listen up! none of you deserve to teach in our district. Why? because you are all to scared to realize that your leader is not doing right by you. Please go elsewhere and teach elsewhere - we don't need you - spineless!!!! isn't it getting cold outside? your buttons are funny and your signs? Yes we can? of course you can! tell "him" to stop representing you! can't you all see what he is doing? personal A G E N D A of course you should "accept" the board's gracious offer!!!! they will reconsider at a better time! in the meantime, please teach our children - this is what you are getting "PAID" for! all those tenured? so....is it so bad? those cushy pensions are all in there.....stop the insanity - better yet, the BOE should pull back their offer! and give you $0
