Job Losses; Some Due to Attrition

Anonymous has left a new comment on your post "A Superintendent Working With the Community":

what you don't mention about this article is that a majority of these job loses will not take place because education funding will be restored. those jobs that are lost will be because of attrition.

  1. The article does not state that these job losses will not happen. If you have the paper then the article should be read again. The article states that these cuts would not happen if money was restored for education. With the state in a hole for 9-13 billion dollars the chances are remote at best. Besides you migh of missed the best part of the article which quotes the superintendent of Brentwood stating that he would work for a resolution to solve their budget crisis that would not overburden taxpayers and attempt to lessen the amount of teachers to be laid off. When did you ever hear our BOE or Superintendent talk about the concerns of the residents and the school in one sentence? That is the point that some people have lost a grip on reality of the problems we face in our community, namely the tax burden that is out of control and the peole in charge who do not see that!
