Take the Bold Steps - POB Board - When there is vacancy - Hire Teachers from Asia - Philippines,China or India - Alabama and Georgia School Districts did this first to the anger of community and then - Guess what the Children did so very well -Math and Science grades increased 25% in about a year - The foreign teachers just as a new immigrants worked very hard for a lot less and made a difference in the quality of education - POB Board must consider such measures -and rescind the raises altogether - and replace the picketing teachers and ones that are disrupting the peace of the our school district with foreign hire for a lot less - this could set a precedence in the tri-state area and could eventually also help our economy and reduce school taxes by a third.

uhmmmmmmmmmmm-immigration laws-what a thoughtless suggestion!
ReplyDeleteUm..even if we hired 'foreign' teachers, we'd still have to pay them the same. There is a contract and pay scale for all employees. Are you suggesting we create a second one for immigrant teachers?
ReplyDeleteForeign teachers working harder for a lot less? Sounds like a request for sweat-shop labor to me.
ReplyDeleteAs it was already mentioned, they would be organized into the union, and their pay rate would equal those teachers you have now.
Why don't we fire all American workers? That should be very good for our economy! If we keep up such a policy, there won't be any need for Plainview schools, because foreign workers will run the country.
ReplyDeleteMaybe the foreign workers would live shorter lives and their pensions wouldn't be as expensive.
